Asylum Seekers Drop-in

NEW DONATION/COLLECTION ARRANGEMENTS

We do not have sorting space at our new venue and donations left in the lobby of NNLS are a security risk. We are therefore changing the arrangements for donations:

We can no longer accept ANY clothing donations on the day of the Drop in [first Sunday of the month]

We will now collect donations of clothing, nappies and non-perishable foods on the last Sunday of every month at NNLS. Donations can be dropped off any time on that Sunday morning, not before, and will be collected at 12.30 pm.

We can no longer accept bedding.

Please label all bags clearly with age/size/gender. WE CANNOT ACCEPT UNLABELLED BAGS. We will be distributing adult clothing every month from now on, and just a limited supply of under fives children’s clothes.

Not many of our clients have older children in the UK so we are appealing every month for new, cheap [or excellent condition] baby clothes [0 - 12 months], and new underwear, socks and T shirts for children aged 1 - 5 only.

Cooked food and perishables can be brought to the new venue from 1.30pm on the day of the drop in [first Sunday of each month]. There will be no collection from NNLS on drop in days.

If you have clothing donations that you cannot bring on the last Sunday of the month, please contact Diane Taylor or Deborah Koder discuss alternative arrangements for donating.
